Suspended for 2025: Kosh-Longboat & Sailing Regatta

Regatta Activities Suspended for 2025

Due to limited volunteer and participant availability, this event will be suspended for this year - we will re-assess interest in 2026.

For sailing, bring your own craft - windsurfers, catamarans and traditional mono hulls are all welcome. The race will begin at 11:00 (route below) in Wanakita bay, and finish at Umbrella Island.

For paddling, 9 person Voyageur canoes will be provided by Wanakita - sign up a team or as individuals and we can organise teams (8 paddlers + coxswain). BYO paddle and life vest if you can. Please arrive by 11:15 at the government dock; heats comprising 200 metre sprints begin at 11:30.

This is a fun and friendly event to explore the lake with your neighbours, and promote sailing and paddling on Koshlong! 

Following the races, gather with your fellow competitors for refreshments at the government dock.
