7th Season of the Highlands Summer Festival
Three plays are lined up for this season. First is Maggie’s
Getting Married, a romantic comedy by prolific Canadian playwright
Norm Foster. Next is The Miracle Worker, the inspirational story
of Helen Keller by William Gibson; then Over the River and Through
the Woods, a family comedy by Joe DiPietro. In addition, 4 classical
concerts (2 performances in July and 2 in August) titled If
Music Be the Food of Love…Play On round out the line-up
of live performances at the Northern Lights Performing Arts
Pavilion at the High School in Haliburton. The Highlands Summer
Festival Season Pass is just $70 plus GST, ($74.90). There are
